ReplyDeleteI have been investing in my hair at Mr. Terry's
Hair Design & Treatment Center(Mr. Terry) for six
months. Prior to having my hair treated at
Mr. Terry's, I had weave put in my hair at different times for 1 year with the intention to
grow my hair. The last time I took my weave out,
my hair was very thin, weak and brittle.I went to different beauty salons and ended up having my
hair cut very short. My hair remained thin, weak and brittle.

I started coming to Mr. Terry Hair Design in
ReplyDeleteOctober 2008. At that time my hair was badly damaged from a poor coloring job. My edges were
practically gone. I saw Mr. Terry's ad in a local
community magazine and gave him a call. He did an analysis on my hair and told me the condition
of my hair. He explained in great details, what
products should not be used on black hair and why. I started my bi-weekly treatments. Mr. Terry
explained what he was doing with each treatment
and he told me the results that I should be seeing. I am proud to say that my hair has made a
major improvement. My edges are back and my hair
has thickened up. I am very satisfied with the
results that I am seeing and I would recommend

Shedding Hair:
ReplyDeleteOne of my clients has been coming in for over a year. Recently, the client stated her hair was
shedding at crown area. The client brought in a sample of hair she'd combed out since her last
appointment which was two weeks prior. We talked
about different problems with her hair. A normal
response when clients talk about their hair is
"STRESS" . Her problem was very different.
I used the Tress Testor to determine the strength
and elasticity of her hair. The strength was 4 and the Elasticity was 4.0, which was good - not
great, but good. To wear a relaxer normal ranges
are from 3 to 5 in strength, and 4 to 7 in elasti
city. I conducted this test to ensure the hair was strong enough for chemical treatment.
I applied my magnesium, protein and oil treatment to her hair for 12 minutes then rinsed,
shampooed once, and applied a semi-permanent color for 30 minutes. I conclude all treatments with a roller set to prevent and help with the shedding of hair. I use a buffer and apply protein (pure) and organic oil to scalp and hair for processing under the steamer each week.
By the second week, the shedding had practically
stopped - not nearly as much as before!
This situation is an example of what I have been
saying for years to my clients. When you're going
to a hair salon and your hair is damaged or abused, you will need proper treatment to rescue and restore your hair. You will need some type of test to determine what treatment is best for
your hair. There are 52 different textures of hair. Do you know the texture of your hair?

What service were perform and the results. ans.
I had hair analysis, protein treatment, relaxer, treatment, trim, and roller set. As a result, my hair is soft, managable, and straight.
Conclusion: Considering the amount of time that had passed since my last salon visit, I was nervous about the potential outcome. I knew that my hair was severly damaged from getting microbraids for the last 7 years. I was reassured though, because where else have you seen a microscope in a hair salon?
After the hair analysis, Mr. Terry sat with me and told me the result, as well as the service he felt comfortable performing.
Now, the "Itchy" is gone! I love my hair, and will certainly be back for subsequent treatments
and products.

ReplyDeletefront hairline was recede from her forehead. I ask her did she had a relaxer and she said no. She said she was natural. She has not had a relaxer in 5 yrs.. I ask her have she ever has an Hair Analysis with Stress testor machine or Microscope she said no. She never had a buffer
